I went to Naru Oakland but couldn't find it around here. Still, other branches should check it out, at least as a suggestion.nnThey need to make a better selection of music; it's important that it fits the concept and has a volume suitable for conversation. Sometimes it sounds like club music.

Beautiful place, personalized service, food with fresh ingredients. Worth the price. I recommend the flavored lemonades (especially the coconut one)

Naru's menu is generally very good, but the service and quality of the food differ greatly between Miraflores and Oakland. In Oakland, the service is very slow (I've visited on more than one occasion and the wait for food is at least half an hour, even when the restaurant is empty). The food has been bland at times and excessively salty at others, to the point of being almost inedible. The drinks have either been too sweet or lacking in flavor. Not everything served has the same problems, so better quality control could fix it. Between the two locations, I probably wouldn't return to Oakland because of this.
